A few posts back, we wrote a blog showing you how simple it was to design and create your very own custom tile. We were so excited when our friends at North County Tile and Stone contacted us about creating their own custom tile line for their showroom in San Diego! Keep scrolling to see the initial renderings they sent us and how custom pieces turned out.
Initial Renderings and Designs
Barbara Matzke (@matzke_interiors) at North County Tile created three different designs that she envisioned in various color combinations and pairings. She sent us her initial renderings which were done on the computer through Photoshop. Besides the artwork, the only other information we needed from Barb was what stone she wanted her designs printed on and what size.
First Samples
It was important for the designers at North County Tile to see what the designs looked like on varying stone types so they chose to sample the custom designs on Carrara marble, our Arctic White stone, and the Perle Blanc limestone. This gave them a range of tile looks that could fit into multiple home styles.
Color, Color, Color!
Besides the unique modern design and clean lines, we are in love with the color combinations Barb put together. In an Instagram world full of white kitchens, seeing some fresh, bold colors is so exciting! They were able to curate a collection of colors that offers a range of soft, neutral colors to blush pinks, teals, and robust terracotta color tones.
And just like that, their custom tiles were ready to go to their new home in the North County Tile and Stone showroom!
