Last year, the Orange County design firm, Blackband Design, remodeled a San Clemente home that turned out to be absolutely beautiful. It is by far one of our favorite transformations and we still admire it for our daily dose of tile envy! While the entire home is breathtaking, the tiled home bar and living area are head-turners. Blackband Design was able to take their client’s dark and outdated space and turn it into a bright, colorful oasis that harmoniously combines colors, patterns and textures. This natural-stone home bar features a patterned carrara marble and has acted as a source of inspiration for other interior designers using the same pattern, Lena, to recreate this timeless look.

Blackband Design combined a textured white wall, waterfall counter top, and the intricate natural stone patterned tile which covers the facade of the wet bar.
The open and inviting space serves as a focal gathering point for guests and family alike in this transitional beach home.
Blackband Design finished the space by incorporating the Lena patterned tile on the entry way stairs. Alternating the patterned tiles on stair risers brings attention to design while also potentially economizing project costs. The result speaks for itself!
