On this week’s home tour, we are giving you a behind-the-scene’s look at a quintessential Southern California Spanish revival home in Los Angeles. BattagliaStile told us about this home a few months ago and we have anxiously awaited for the final photographs. Four of our in-stock patterns were beautifully featured in five spaces ranging from stair risers to master bath walls! Adam Taylor snapped these photos during a recent shoot of the house and our jaws dropped as soon as we saw them. Each pattern showcased was influenced by Mediterranean history from Moorish to Spanish tiles. This home shows you efficient ways to incorporate that look for your own little slice of coastal paradise. Keep scrolling to see our Spanish patterned tiles throughout this home and tell us, which space is your favorite?
Southern California Outdoor Guest Bath
The first room in this Southern California Spanish home is one of the guest baths that lead to the backyard. This room is the perfect example of how a little decorative tile can make a big impact in a space. The mix of rustic tumbled Perle Blanc limestone and burnt orange hues embodies old world atmospheres. The Dana Point pattern is featured behind the sink and serves as accent tiles in this charming bathroom.
Southern California Master Bathroom
Next we show you our favorite room of the house! It’s hard not to play favorites once you see this elegant and timeless master bathroom. The Crystal pattern is featured behind the sink area and also behind the free-standing bathtub. The client effortlessly blended a decorative pattern with this room’s neutral cabinetry tones, paint color, and hardware. If you ever had any qualms on how to utilize decorative tile in a room while still maintaining a soft tone, look no further then this master bathroom.
On the other side of the room is the master bathroom sink and vanity area. The Crystal Pattern in the Topaz is the perfect colorway to blend into a space that uses beige cabinetry and silver hardware.
Southern California Stairs
We’ve said it many times before, but we LOVE when clients use bold, patterned tiles on their stairs. Not only is it cost effective and easy to install, it also creates a focal point in a room. Again, this client effortlessly added a timeless pattern to a room while still keeping the overall tone relaxed. The in-stock Ella pattern on a rustic tumbled limestone is featured as the stair risers.
Southern California Fireplace
Another quick and cost-effective space for patterned Spanish tile is the fireplace! The Ella pattern in the Jute colorway on Perle Blanc limestone can be seen surrounding this fireplace in the upstairs den. Even though only a few pieces of tiles were used, the impact on the fireplace is huge!
Southern California Guest Bath
The last room on this home tour is another one of the guest bathrooms. The Sanza pattern in Sesame embodies the classic Spanish tile design. It can be seen in the two niches in this space. Here is another example where a small amount of patterned tile can give the room a needed pop of color.
